Get answers to common questions about Fruit Enzymes.
Fruit Enzymes treatments suit most skin types, including normal, dry, combination, and oily. Those with active acne, open wounds, or severe rosacea should avoid treatment until conditions improve. We recommend a patch test for very sensitive skin before a full facial.
Appointments typically run 45 to 60 minutes, including consultation, cleansing, enzyme application, gentle massage, and post-treatment hydration. Timing varies based on skin concerns and any additional services. Please arrive a few minutes early for paperwork and consultation.
Downtime is minimal for most clients. You may experience light redness or mild peeling for 24–48 hours as dead skin sheds. Avoid sun exposure, exfoliants, and strong active ingredients for several days; apply SPF and soothing moisturizers.
We recommend spacing Fruit Enzymes facials at least 48 hours before or after waxing and threading. Enzymes increase skin sensitivity, and combining treatments on the same day can raise irritation risk. Your technician can advise optimal scheduling.
For maintenance and visible improvement, schedule Fruit Enzymes facials every 3–6 weeks depending on skin sensitivity and goals. More frequent visits may benefit targeted concerns, while sensitive skin may need longer intervals; your esthetician will personalize the plan.
Many fruit enzyme facials are safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but formulations vary. We avoid strong acids, retinoids, and intensive peels for expectant clients. Please disclose pregnancy or nursing status so we can select safe, gentle products and perform a patch test.
